The story of "working my ass off";)

The first time I got the call from my company was around November, I honestly didn't know about this company at first, all I knew that, this company was a Japan Company. I remember the first time I applied for this job as a HR Staff was when I attended the Job fair in Balai Kartini Jakarta. I remember clearly that right before I applied, me and my friend was having this convo:
Amel: "Ja, jauh banget gila ini kantornya di cikampek"
Me:  "Yauda mel gapapa belom tentu kepanggil juga kan"

About a week or 2 weeks after, I got an email from them to came to the interview. And I was freaking out, because I had never done any interview, like ever. And then I told my dad about it and he said "Go ahead, do it, I'll be driving you there. Just think about it as an experience. Don't expect anything and do your best. And remember this thought 'I've nothing to lose if I don't get the job', don't be scared".
Sooooo many people came to the interview, but we had to do the paper test first. Actually the interview was fast. They just asked you to introduce yourself in english for 3 mins and after that, he asked me about myself, basic questions. But I WAS SOOOOO NERVOUS AND I WAS SHAKING.
And then I came home with 'nothing to lose' thought because when I waited there I asked the other candidates and they were like "oh iya ini ketiga kalinya gua interview" "gua kelima nih" "ohiya di perusahaan ..... gua udah tinggal tahap terakhir" and me.....I had no experience at all. I was graduated on September for God's sake hahahaha.

I didn't rememeber how many days went by after that interview. All I remember is I got an email and they told me that I was in for the next step, and long story short....I GOT THE JOB!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I was super excited because finally I got the job and also scared because I didn't think that my father would allow me to go because I had to live in Cikampek because he was super duper strict and protective of me. Well imagine that I still have to get picked up by him until now. So yap. He was, well he is very protective. And that happened, my dad went ballistic, he didn't want to let me go, he insisted that I had to work in Jakarta not outside of town. Long story short (again), we argued, I got mad, and I said "Dad, if you want me to be independent then you have to let me go. I will take the job. And I really hope that you support me". And finally he allowed me to go. But even at the time when me, my dad, and my mom was looking for kosan, he was still "udah lah dek gausah jadi kerja disini aja ya. ini jauh dari jakarta, kalo kamu ada apa2 gimana, nanti orang tua nyampe ke kamunya lama" and we argued (again). Oh Dad.

First day at work, SUPER DUPER NERVOUS. I felt like everybody was staring at me like "who is she? why is she here? why is she not wearing uniform" hahahahaha

So I'm gonna tell you about the perks:
First, since my company is  a PMA, so we use english for daily basis when we talk to the Management, and since my job is always related to them, I use english everyday, and I can learn how to be an active speaker.
Second, Japan Company is well-known for their strictness, their good-manner, their work ethic is no joke, they're really good at managing their time. They always obey the rules, and they work like crazy, and I mean it in a good way. That makes you always obey the rule and be really responsible, well because my work is straight to the manager or the Management so I have to be REALLY responsible of what I've done & said. So it builds my work ethic, too.
Third, it is soooooo damn interesting to work at a manufacturing company because you see it firsthand how to make sparepart automotive from steel, like liquid steel (if you know what I mean) until they become a product. It blew my mind when the first time I saw the process. Live. And even after almost a year working here, I sometimes go to the factory and still amaze when I see the process.
Fourth, NO MACET AT ALL!!!!! Probably because it's in Kawasan Industri Indotaisei Cikampek. And because my company provide "Jemputan" sooooooo I don't have to drive or wait for public transportation.

I have to admit that working here is exhausted especially when the first week of working here, GODDDDD I even had to stay the night ANDDDDDD working 7 days straight. But now it gets better and more bearable for me. And I will celebrate my first annivesary of working here on Dec 7, 2016. WHOOP WHOOP!!!!!!

WOW, on february next year I will be 23 years old. WOW, I'M OLD!
